Here's a list of some of my favorite books:
 
The Fountainhead- a story of ideals, conflicts. a mirror which helps you see yourself in one or several characters. one can recognize the good things in yourself, and the things you find despicable
 
Atlas Shrugged- in which Fountainhead is taken a step futher. this book may be too crazy for some readers
 
The Count of Monte Cristo- the original romatic novel. the story that allowed me to take all hits and keep going in junior high
 
East of Eden- a book on mankind: the good, the bad, and hope. a book that will make you mourn one moment and celebrate in another
 
My Name is Asher Lev- a unreal ride, seeing through the eyes of a genius. made me cry all the way from baltimore to NY. also convicted me: i am not an artist, just a doodler
 
The Gift of Asher Lev- a book of growth, maturity, and close relationships
 
The Chosen- on friendships, and all the types of love minus the kind between a man and woman
 
The Promise- on relationships between fathers and sons
 
Ender's Game- just a wonderful read. about interaction with others
 
any book of Louis L'Amour (i first read a book of his that my dad had from his army days), and i read most of his collection. he is quite a prolific writer. if you like westerns, he is the man
another good western writer: Max Brand: The Invisible Outlaw is perhaps the best western i've ever read

A Fine Balance- about craziness in life, fighting against that which will not move
The Sword of Truth series (i know, i know, so dorky. trust me, this is not my style, but it was actually entertaining)
